Hi,,

First, I want to thank everyone who sent me an email in response to the last newsletter. I got some great comments.

People really seemed to like the Adapt, Adjust, Achieve idea. And I really appreciate the condolences for my grandmother's passing.

Let me tell you, I had some cravings this morning. Wow! I could really go for a sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin.

Yes, I get cravings too. My family and friends think I have it easy with the way I eat. They think I'm lucky and just don't like all that good food. Well, let me make a confession.

I LOVE food! Pizza, burgers, McDonadl's breakfast food, you name it I like to eat it.

I just CHOOSE not to do so because I like how I feel and look a lot better than the temporaty satisfaction of those foods. But I do eat them from time to time.

It makes it that much easier to say no all the other times.

Besides, as Keanue Reeves once said, "chicks dig muscles." Okay, he really said "chicks dig scars" but you get the idea.

So if you chow down some 'off limits' food now and again, don't sweat it. Just get right back to your program and move forward. Don't beat yourself up about it.

All that will do is make you more likely to fall off the wagon completely and before you know it you feel horrible and you've packed on 25 pounds of fat. Don't do it!

If you've been reading my newsletter for awhile you know every September I participage in a weekend long bike ride to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (one of my sisters has MS). I've lost track but I think it's my 15th or 16th year.

Anyway, it's time to get back on the bike consistently.

Usually I end up getting really lean over summer from all the biking. And not in a good way.

So I'm going to make some adjustments and see if I can hold on to more muscle this year.

I'll talk next time about some of the changes I'm making.
