My Profile and Contact Info
Here's the boring "about me" stuff, in case you are interested. ;-)
There is contact info at the bottom of the page.
Health and fitness has always been a very big part of my life. I played as many competitive sports as I could from as far back as I can remember, right through college and beyond.
I was very skinny growing up. You know the type. I ate anything I wanted without gaining a pound. About 17 years ago I started working out with weights in order to help my performance in both soccer and basketball. I was small boned and hit the gym for the first time weighing 141 pounds with 10% body fat at a height of 6 feet tall.
I told you I was skinny.
I was instantly bitten by the lifting bug, devoting almost all of my free time to learning everything I could about training, nutrition and supplementation.
I possess an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and began reading everything I could get my hands on with regard to these topics.
For more years than I care to count, I tried everything I could think of to gain muscle without much in the way of progress. I followed all the different routines from the muscle magazines.
I never quite because I enjoyed working out and then it became a mental challenge to find out what really works.
I went on a search, not for more information, but for the right information. I took a step back and cast a critical eye at the industry itself.
I began to question everything we "know" about bodybuilding and resistance training, taking nothing at face value.
I continually asked why and dug deeper into the accepted beliefs and concepts that stated how to build your best body. I learned where to locate credible information as well as scientific material and began questioning the accepted practices.
I finally began to make progress. Not rapid progress since I am small boned, but good progress nonetheless. I made more progress and got stronger in a year than I had in my previous 10 plus years of bodybuilding.
I added 34 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks!
That's a gain of over 42 pounds of muscle overall.
How did I make such progress? By applying critical thinking and making use of logic, I've been able to figure out what works with resistance training and nutrition.
And not just what works for me but what works for everyone! Sure, people's tolerance to training and their ability to recover varies from one person to another, but the principles of resistance training apply to everyone.
Many people will give up the wonderful pursuit of health and fitness before they find what works. It's not easy with all the misinformation out there being perpetrated by the magazines, and self titled experts and gurus who have commercial interests to protect.
My goal is to change all that. It's to help people build their best body in the shortest amount of time by applying sound fundamental principles of exercise physiology as well as nutrition and supplementation to help them burn fat and build muscle. I'm here to help you achieve your goals.
I enjoy the challenge of building the best body I can build and being in the best shape of my life. I enjoy helping others do the same.
I look forward to providing hope, inspiration, and the information necessary for people to reach their goals.
Nothing can replace the amazing feeling of accomplishment gained through hard work. Let's make sure the hard work is also the right work. I am positive I can help people get what they want from bodybuilding and training efforts and in the shortest time possible.
It's time for everyone to achieve their goals.
